RingFall is an action adventure short film that follows special agent Nolan Pierce on a mission to procure an ancient artifact from a secret base when he is suddenly interrupted.

Original Animatic
This was the first animatic for RingFall. The choreography changed a lot over the course of the animatic phase with the feedback from several colleagues. I am much happier with the way the film is paced now in comparison to the first iterations. 
Pre-Production
Hero Props
For the short I had a very specific idea for how I wanted the props to look, with the artifact calling back to some of my inspirations and the weapons having a sleek and futuristic art style that matches the suit.
Environment
The environment was made using the unreal engine's mega scan library to create the cliff face and simple primitives to mark where the base would be. That was then exported to maya where the primitive objects could then be replaced for the actual base components and then textured in substance painter. Once that was done it could be brought back into Unreal for final scene assembly.
